International conventions are normative instruments, where there is a concurrence of wills between two or more subjects of international law, intended to produce legal effects and in order to create rights and obligations between the Parties.
It is also important to highlight the figure of Multilateral Environmental Agreements (MEAs) representing a global effort with the concern of the international community about environmental problems. They represent important legal instruments to regulate international law from the protection and conservation of the environment.
The executive branch is responsible to undertake actions to implement the provisions of the Agreements, once ratified.
